Welcome to the Mad About Herbs blog. My name's Madeleine Giddens and I'm a herbaholic! Here is where I come - when I'm not working on my business or looking after my gorgeous daughters - to write about my passion for herbs and share with you what I've learnt over the last 7 years about growing them and their culinary and health benefits.
Please take your time and wander through some of my recent postings or use the categories in the column to your right to locate your own areas of interest or use the search box a bit lower down on the right.
Oh - and if you'd like to receive a regular 'sprinkle' of herb tips and information in your inbox, you can subscribe to my free online newsletter by filling in your details in the boxes over there on the upper left! You'll also get a free ebook '7 Everyday Herbs Made Simple' which gives information about how to use 7 herbs in your cooking and it also gives a summary of their reported health benefits.

Hi!
I found you after you "faved" me on Blotanical. What a great find your blog is! I'm going to come back later and take my time reading through your posts= fantastic information! I'm very much into herbs myself. I'm looking forward to supplementing my knowledge!

Hi Shirley
Thank you for your kind comments! Love the mini herb garden you made and showed on your blog, you've inspired me too!

I found you on Blotanical. We have a lot in common. I am an herb "nut" also. Love growing them in the garden and picking them fresh when I need them.

Hello, it's great to 'meet' another herb enthusiast. Blotanical is great for finding like minded people, I must try and keep up with it!

Madeleine, thank you for your message. You have an interesting, beautiful and very knowledgable blog about herbs. I will come back , when I need some information about a certain herb.I generally grow just the herbs I use in cooking, and a few more for their flowers, scent and a certain interest in them. My dryer is a Vacola drier and does a very good job, as I can regulate the heat. I never dry the herbs over 45 degree C.
